Case Studies: Custom Donor Recognition Walls & Experiential Displays
Donor recognition walls are custom-designed displays used by hospitals, universities, corporations, and nonprofit organizations to publicly honor philanthropic giving while supporting long-term fundraising growth.
At Partners In Recognition, Inc., we design and manufacture custom donor recognition walls, digital recognition systems, corporate history displays, and named space signage for healthcare systems, higher education institutions, and mission-driven community organizations across the United States.
Our case studies highlight real-world challenges—including budget constraints, architectural limitations, changeable donor requirements, environmental durability, and multi-stakeholder alignment—and the engineered solutions we developed to address them. Each project demonstrates how strategic recognition design strengthens donor stewardship, reinforces brand identity, and creates scalable systems that evolve alongside capital campaigns and cumulative giving programs.
Award Recognition Display at the University of Tennessee
Replacing an outdated award display inside a high-traffic academic building presented unique architectural challenges. The new system needed to honor distinguished alumni while preserving a custom wood feature wall and allowing efficient updates for future award recipients.
Donor Recognition Wall for a Community Hospital Foundation
A donor recognition wall was designed for a community hospital foundation to honor cumulative giving while fitting naturally within a bright, high-traffic hospital lobby. The modular system allows donor names to be easily added or updated over time, ensuring the display can grow with the organization while maintaining a calm, welcoming presence in the space.
Outdoor Donor Recognition Display for Tohono Chul
Designing the outdoor donor recognition display required overcoming extreme desert conditions, including 100+°F temperatures, daily temperature swings of up to 40°, and strict Dark Sky lighting regulations. The system also needed to allow easy donor updates, flexible category changes, future expansion, and seamless integration of full-color memorial panels while maintaining a cohesive, natural aesthetic.
