Capital Campaign at Ocean Reef
Surrounded by the beauty of the Florida Keys, The Chapel at Ocean Reef serves as a place of worship, reflection, and community for residents and visitors alike. To honor the generosity of the individuals and families who support its long-term mission, The Chapel partnered with Partners In Recognition to create a church endowment donor recognition display celebrating its endowment donors.
Located in a prominent gathering space, the display recognizes the contributions that help sustain the chapel’s programs, services, and future needs. Additionally, the design reflects the unique character of both The Chapel and its coastal surroundings.
Inspired by Architecture and Environment
The donor recognition display draws inspiration from two defining elements of The Chapel at Ocean Reef: its iconic architecture and its connection to the ocean.
At the top of the display, a dimensional interpretation of the chapel’s steeple and roofline creates an immediate visual connection to the building itself. Meanwhile, freestanding letters spelling “In Gratitude” reinforce the purpose of the display and create a focal point for visitors.

Below, flowing wave graphics move across the display and reference the surrounding waters of Key Largo. In addition, blue printed acrylic donor panels strengthen this connection through colors and imagery inspired by the ocean and beach environment. Together, these elements create a recognition display that feels uniquely connected to its location.
These thoughtful details help connect the donor recognition program to both the mission of the chapel and the coastal environment that surrounds it.
Designed to Evolve with the Endowment
Endowment programs are designed to grow over time, and donor recognition should be able to grow with them. To support future donor additions, Partners In Recognition utilized the Polaris System for the display.
The Polaris System uses horizontal aluminum rails that support individual donor panels. As a result, the display maintains a clean and organized appearance while allowing donor recognition to evolve as new gifts are received. Staff can add, replace, or rearrange individual panels without affecting neighboring names. This approach makes updates simple and efficient.
For The Chapel at Ocean Reef, the Polaris rails provide flexibility for future endowment donors. At the same time, they preserve the display’s architectural and coastal-inspired design. As the endowment program grows, additional donor panels can be incorporated seamlessly into the existing display without requiring a redesign.
Furthermore, the Polaris System combines a permanent framework with changeable donor recognition panels to support long-term stewardship. The result is a display that honors today’s donors while remaining prepared to recognize future generations of supporters.
Celebrating Generosity for the Future
The Chapel at Ocean Reef’s endowment donors play an important role in supporting the future of the organization. Their generosity helps ensure that the chapel can continue serving the community for generations to come.
Today, the display serves as a lasting tribute to those donors while reflecting both the spirit of gratitude and the beauty of its surroundings. Through its architectural inspiration, coastal design elements, and flexible Polaris System, the display recognizes generosity in a meaningful way. Moreover, it remains uniquely connected to The Chapel at Ocean Reef and its mission.
This church endowment donor recognition display demonstrates how thoughtful design can honor donor generosity while remaining adaptable for future growth. By combining architectural inspiration, coastal imagery, and a flexible recognition system, the display creates a lasting celebration of philanthropy that will serve The Chapel at Ocean Reef for years to come.
