Contemporary Storytelling Display for UCI

The University of California, Irvine School of Biological Sciences believes in the powerful interconnectedness of life. This philosophy shapes its mission, research, and educational approach. To communicate that vision, the school partnered with Partners In Recognition to create a custom educational storytelling wall for its administrative offices.

Telling the MIND | BODY | WORLD Story

According to Dean Frank LaFerla, PhD, “For most of us, a healthy mind requires a healthy body, which depends upon a healthy world.”

This idea became the foundation for the school’s theme: MIND | BODY | WORLD.

Because this message defines the school’s identity, Dean LaFerla wanted visitors to experience it immediately upon entering the administrative offices. Rather than using traditional signage, the goal was to create a compelling storytelling wall that visually communicated the school’s mission.

A Custom Suspended Storytelling Wall Design

To bring that vision to life, Partners In Recognition collaborated closely with the dean and the school’s marketing team. Together, they designed a bold and immersive suspended storytelling wall that combines graphics, messaging, and dimensional elements.

This custom suspended educational display creates movement and visual depth. As a result, the installation draws attention while reinforcing the school’s core values.

The suspended structure also gives the display a modern feel. Additionally, it allows the messaging to remain open, airy, and highly visible throughout the space.
