Permanent System
Our Permanent System is used for closed campaigns or information that does not need to change. We etch into various materials, including solid surface (Corian), laminate, glass, metal, and wood. We can also print your names on most materials. The Permanent System is used primarily for Capital Campaigns or historical tributes. This system can be used for exterior purposes as well as interior.
Sometimes, when a client uses a Permanent System, they find that a name needs to change after the display is complete. It’s best to anticipate this issue and possibly compile smaller panels so that the replacement of a panel will not be too costly. If swapping out a panel is not feasible, there are still ways to make changes without completely starting over. For instance, if you want the names etched into the material, you’d be wise to etch them into a solid surface material like Corian. These surfaces can be sanded down to eliminate the etched names and then re-etched with the corrected name list. To make it even easier to correct a mistake, we can print the names on your material. Printing can usually be removed with chemicals and reprinted with the final name listing. In the case of printing names, you can print on solid surfaces, laminate, and marble, all of which will allow for the chemical removal of unwanted text or names and then be reprinted with your final donor list. Of course, that is a last-ditch effort to save a static display, and hopefully, you’ll never encounter that problem!
A few examples of our Permanent System follow:
This Permanent Capital Campaign mimics the mountain in the background as seen through their lobby window at Mayers Health Foundation in McArthur, CA. The sanded acrylic mountain has etched graphics and names. Stainless steel graphics flow across the front, mounted to laminate, and all pieces are held in silver metal hardware posts.
Daybreak in Dayton, OH, used our Permanent System to recognize Capital Campaign donors. This 8’ x 4’ display is made of layers of laminates and acrylic. The title and donor names are etched into laminate and acrylic.
This sprawling outdoor display measures over 40 feet and greets visitors to the Birmingham Zoo in Birmingham, AL. Manufactured out of Corian and Stainless Steel, this Permanent System holds etched graphics with etched names layered over the top.
It’s hard not to notice this brightly colored display at the entrance of The YMCA of San Diego. Laminates were selected to match the official corporate YMCA colors. White acrylic freestanding letters carry their message, recognizing donors to their Capital Campaign.
