For more than 25 years, The Weber School has provided students with an educational experience that combines academic excellence, leadership development, and Jewish values. Located in Atlanta, Georgia, the independent high school prepares students to think critically, engage with their communities, and pursue meaningful opportunities beyond the classroom.
The Daniel Zalik Academy of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Design demonstrates that commitment to education and innovation every day. To recognize the impact of entrepreneur, philanthropist, and innovator Daniel Zalik, The Weber School partnered with Partners In Recognition to create an educational facility recognition display that honors his legacy while complementing the Academy’s modern learning environment.
A Tribute to the Daniel Zalik Academy
The Weber School created the Daniel Zalik Academy to encourage students to explore science, technology, engineering, and design through creativity, problem-solving, and innovation. Therefore, the recognition display needed to support the Academy’s mission while celebrating the accomplishments of the individual who inspired it.
Positioned prominently within the Academy, the display serves as a focal point for students, faculty, and visitors. Its scale and placement establish a strong presence within the space, reinforcing the importance of the Daniel Zalik Academy and the values it represents. In addition, the display helps connect students to a culture of innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking that extends beyond the classroom.
In addition, the display incorporates inspirational messaging that connects students to the values of innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurship. As a result, the installation does more than identify a named space. It reinforces the mindset and principles that guide students throughout their educational experience.
Illuminated Through a Permanent System
Because the display recognizes a permanent named space, Partners In Recognition utilized a Permanent System. This approach allowed the design team to focus entirely on creating a customized recognition feature that will remain a lasting part of the Academy environment.
The installation combines etched sanded acrylic, satin brushed aluminum accents, and integrated LED lighting to create a clean architectural presence. The dark gray acrylic panels provide a strong visual foundation, while the etched white graphics and lettering create crisp contrast and readability. Additionally, the satin brushed aluminum elements introduce texture and complement the contemporary character of the space.
Integrated LED lighting enhances the display by casting a soft glow across the upper portion of the installation. Consequently, the display maintains a strong visual presence without overwhelming the surrounding environment. The lighting also highlights the Academy name, school branding, and inspirational messaging throughout the design.
Together, these materials create a recognition feature that reflects the innovative spirit of the Daniel Zalik Academy and honors the legacy that continues to inspire future generations of students.

The Daniel Zalik Academy encourages students to think creatively, embrace new ideas, and develop practical skills they can apply beyond the classroom. For this reason, Partners In Recognition designed a display that aligns with the Academy’s focus on science, technology, engineering, and design.
Clean lines, contemporary materials, and integrated lighting create a modern appearance that complements the educational environment. At the same time, the display establishes a sense of permanence that reflects the significance of Daniel Zalik’s contributions.
Through thoughtful design and carefully selected materials, the installation connects the Academy’s mission to the individual whose vision and accomplishments helped inspire it.
