Interactive Displays Take Flight at the University of North Florida

Recognition in Motion: The Founders Society Gets a Digital Upgrade

A New Look for Donor Recognition at UNF

The University of North Florida has transformed how it celebrates generosity. The Founders Society has moved beyond static plaques, upgrading to fully interactive donor recognition displays – now live at Alumni Hall and outside the President’s Office, with a third planned for MOCA Jacksonville.

Each display is framed by stylized Osprey wings – a sharp, symbolic nod to the university’s identity. But the transformation goes deeper than design. These are scalable, digital platforms – built to grow with the community and spotlight the evolving impact of philanthropy.

This isn’t just a modern aesthetic – it’s a smarter, more flexible way to say thank you. With digital storytelling and real-time updates, recognition at the University of North Florida is now personal, lasting, and easier to explore than ever.

Every Name, Every Story – Recognition That Lasts

Visitors can search by name or browse donor groups to see the full picture of giving. A subtle, motion-based screensaver invites people in. One tap activates an intuitive interface focused on what matters: names, faces, and stories.

At Alumni Hall, the display anchors a prominent wall, seamlessly blending gratitude and technology. Near the President’s Office, the installation pairs a formal message and the university seal with interactive content – merging tradition with innovation.

A third display, planned for MOCA Jacksonville, will expand the university’s digital presence into the heart of the city’s cultural scene. Thanks to the system’s flexibility, adding new locations is fast, seamless, and future-ready.

“These gratitude statements are showstoppers – thanking, motivating, and educating viewers on the impact of philanthropy at the University of North Florida,”
said a member of the advancement team.
“Together, we’re shaping the stories of today and the dreams of tomorrow.”

From Static to Dynamic: Why the Upgrade Matters

Traditional donor walls had their place – but they were limited. Every update required physical changes, which meant delays, added costs, and constrained storytelling.

With digital recognition, content is easy to manage and update. The university can add names, highlight emerging initiatives, and refresh stories on the fly – keeping recognition current and connected.

It’s a living archive that grows with the institution.

Recognition That Evolves

Recognition isn’t a plaque – it’s a story in motion. The University of North Florida’s digital donor displays, framed by Osprey wings, turn appreciation into an experience. At Alumni Hall, outside the President’s Office, and soon at MOCA Jacksonville, each installation reflects a commitment to celebrating support in a bold, meaningful way. Visitors walk away not just informed – but inspired.
