OhioHealth Riverside Bing Cancer Center
The OhioHealth Arthur G.H. Bing, MD, Cancer Center brings together comprehensive cancer care, advanced treatment, and supportive services in one location. This coordinated approach gives patients and their families access to the care they need throughout every stage of treatment. To recognize the individuals and organizations whose generosity helped make this vision possible, OhioHealth partnered with Partners In Recognition to create a cancer center donor recognition display that honors major supporters while complementing the Cancer Center’s healing environment.
The completed display combines meaningful storytelling, donor recognition, and architectural design into a lasting feature that can continue recognizing supporters for years to come.
A Recognition Display Designed for a Healing Environment
Located in a prominent public area, the display integrates naturally into the surrounding architecture. Flowing wood panels create a layered backdrop that frames three glass recognition panels. Satin silver framing complements the warm wood tones and provides a clean architectural border around each section.
The center panel shares the story behind the Bing Cancer Center and recognizes the vision that inspired the facility. A line-art portrait of Dr. Arthur G.H. Bing and Hetty L. Bing adds a personal touch. The surrounding panels recognize the individuals, families, foundations, and organizations whose philanthropy helped bring the Cancer Center to life.
Rather than leaving future recognition areas empty, Partners In Recognition incorporated removable placeholder plates featuring delicate tree illustrations. These artistic panels maintain the display’s visual balance until additional donor names are added. As new supporters are recognized, staff can replace the illustrated plates with donor nameplates while preserving the overall composition.

Dimensional Recognition with the Stand-Off System
Partners In Recognition incorporated the Stand-Off System throughout the donor recognition panels to create depth while allowing future updates.
Satin silver stand-offs suspend each glass nameplate above the display, giving every donor name greater prominence. The layered construction adds dimension while keeping the printed artwork visible beneath the recognition panels. Together, these elements create a clean presentation that balances donor recognition with meaningful artwork.
Because each nameplate mounts independently, staff can update donor recognition as new gifts are received. They can add or replace individual nameplates without rebuilding the display. This approach allows the Cancer Center to continue recognizing major supporters while preserving the original design.
Recognizing Generosity for the Future
Today, the display continues to recognize the generosity that supports cancer care at OhioHealth. By combining thoughtful storytelling, natural imagery, and the dimensional presentation of the Stand-Off System, Partners In Recognition created a cancer center donor recognition display that honors the philanthropy behind the Bing Cancer Center while complementing its welcoming and healing environment.
