OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital has served central Ohio for more than a century through compassionate patient care, medical education, and clinical innovation. To recognize a seven-figure gift that made the Chester Family Garden possible, OhioHealth Foundation partnered with Partners In Recognition to create an outdoor healthcare recognition feature that reflects the significance of this transformational contribution.
Located at the entrance to the garden, the completed installation welcomes patients, families, visitors, and staff while establishing a lasting tribute to the Chester family’s generosity.
A Permanent Outdoor Recognition Feature
Rather than using a traditional monument sign, Partners In Recognition designed a clean, architectural display that integrates naturally into the surrounding landscape. Freestanding Corian letters identify the Chester Family Garden, while stainless steel accents provide subtle contrast and complement the contemporary architecture of the hospital campus.
Mounted along a natural stone retaining wall, the dimensional lettering creates a strong visual presence without overwhelming the surrounding gardens, walkways, and gathering spaces. At the same time, the simple design allows the landscape to remain the focal point while providing clear and lasting recognition for the family’s generous gift.
Because the display is located outdoors, durable materials were essential. Corian and stainless steel were selected for their long-term performance and ability to maintain a clean appearance through years of weather exposure. As a result, the installation provides an outdoor healthcare recognition solution designed to serve the hospital for decades.
